"Coti" are a form of elongated whetstone with a smooth surface, used to sharpen metal blades and sickles; some show signs of having been used to sharpen and the resulting wear. The large number of ‘coti’ found in the village of Genna Maria suggests the constant use of metal tools for the various subsistence activities that took place in the village.
